The Snowy Range

Almost Thirteen Thousand Feet,
The View I see just can’t be Beat.
They call it Here the “Snowy Range.”
A Simple Name that Some think Strange.

First saw It in year Sixty-three,
Here for College I and Me.
Stuck it Out I say with Pride,
Glad I did ‘cause Met my Bride.

Thirty miles a Short trip Out,
From Laramie to Fishing Trout.
A little Beer or maybe More,
Consumed on This here Scenic Shore.

Still got my Bride and Memories,
Now at this Spot of Rocks and Trees.
Fifty-five since I first Came,
Grateful that It looks the Same.
