A Young Boy

A young boy, yes, I was one time,

Afraid of none and in my prime.

Muscles bulged around my chest,

Endurance there – whatever test.

The clock has wound a lot since then,

Not different from so many men.

Remember when I could – now can’t,

No need to cry – no need to rant.

Age has taught me to be smart,

A young boy still is in my heart.
