Once it Was an Evergreen,
Then what Happened kind of Mean.
Either Deer made it a Bed,
Or Drunkin’ Neighbor crashed Instead.
Anyway, it Was a Mess,
Thought it Dead I must Confess.
Branches Laying on the Ground,
Almost hear a Crying Sound.
In Our Yard for Quite a While,
Standing there Gave Us a Smile.
Just could Not cut it Down,
Most of It turning Brown.
So, we Left it Standing There,
Minus Branches – Kind of Bare.
All remains is a Green Top,
Still Alive – Did not Stop.
Took our Cue from Charlie Brown,
Decorate it Whittled Down.
Light it Up for All to See,
“Little Toadstool Christmas Tree.”
