If a Lie is Told

If a lie is told to reach an end,

is it worth the truth you bend?

Little white or big fat black,

are you stabbing in the back?

Just mislead – or full intent,

does it matter what you meant?

Feeling guilt – or clean of hands,

square upon your soul it lands.

Give your word or flip the bird,

true intent is what is heard.

Be of truth and not a joker,

this is Life not Liar’s Poker.
