Seven-four and To the Store

Seven-four and To the Store,
I am Dreading This here Chore.
Needing Food – Been a While,
Danger Lurks in Every Aisle.

Masks and Gloves – Now the Dress,
Grocery Robbers – What a Mess!
“Stick ‘em Up” – All could Say,
Strength in Numbers Get-Away.

Trepidation from the Start,
As I pick a Shopping Cart.
Those before who Sneezed a Bit,
Maybe just like Licking It?

Now as I begin my Trek,
I am But a Nervous Wreck.
Got a List long As my Arm,
Time ahead a Big Alarm.

Broccoli – the First I See,
Snickers – “Do you Dare Eat Me?”
TP – playing Hide and Seek,
Meat that Smirks – “We’re Past our Peak!”

Cans in Rows combining Crimes,
“We’ve been Touched a Million Times!”
All Soaps truly Treasured Finds,
Collective say – “Kiss Their Behinds!”

Checking Out and While I Wait,
Time to Ponder coming Fate.
Thinking Bugs I have Per Sack,
Not Contemplating coming Back.

Less is More some Would Say,
I’m Sure leaning In that Way.
Cut down Portions – Might try It,
Starting On the Covid Diet.
